Shoulder Pain

Problem shoulders? We can help

Your shoulders are another area of concern when it comes to your range of mobility, health and well-being. Due to the various sports played today, your shoulders can often be affected by a variety of injuries in many different places. These can include, but are not limited to, joints, muscles, tendons, ligaments and cartilage. Neck and spinal issues can also be linked to shoulder pain.

What can a Chiropractor do?

Chiropractors can often be extremely effective at assisting with shoulder issues. When dealing with your shoulder, our Chiropractors will conduct a full physical, orthopaedic and neurological assessment. You may then be asked to conduct a range of motion and muscle strength test.

Treatment will vary dependent upon where the pain is felt during both rest periods and whilst in motion. This will be required for us to make an accurate diagnosis and how best to treat your condition. Some further diagnostic tests may be required such as Ultrasound, X-ray or MRI scans to get to the proper diagnosis for your issue.

Our Chiropractors can assist with a multitude of shoulder conditions ranging from Arthritis through to rotator cuff injuries. The primary focus of dealing with injuries is to reduce inflammation and work out exactly where the pain points are. Other common shoulder conditions we can assist with include chronic shoulder pain and stiffness, frozen shoulder and further diagnosis of other shoulder pain.

The success of treatments will depend on the individual and the techniques being used by our chiropractors at Body Focus Chiropractic. Success is also linked to how long the patient has experienced the symptoms, the amount of degeneration occurring in the patient and on what type of pain the patient is experiencing. An experienced practitioner who can test movements and can safely navigate the structures of the shoulder is recommended for the best results.
